It is used in architecture, interior design/furnishing, tiling, and other "Tile" in spanish ir related usually to ceramics unit cells, usually square, but sometimes adopting other shapes. When a "unit cell" or "Tile" contains some short of geometric or organic arrangement which shows isometries it is frequently also called "Pattern". And "unit cell" could be the best or the closest translation to the Spanish term "módulo", even though sometimes a "módulo" is not a exactly "cell" but a building a self or a piece of furnishing, ect.
